Grig’s Stuffed Peppers

A hearty and comforting dish featuring sweet bell peppers filled with a savory mixture of seasoned beef, rice, and herbs. Infused with the bold flavors of Grig’s, these stuffed vegetables bring warmth and tradition to your table.

Armenian foods : Stuffed peppers

Ingredients:
4 large bell peppers (red, yellow, or green)
1 lb ground beef or lamb
1/2 cup cooked rice
1 small onion, finely diced
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons Grig’s Taste of Armenia seasoning
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin (optional)
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Salt and pepper to taste 1/2 cup water or broth (for baking)

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cut the tops off the peppers and remove seeds and membranes.
In a large bowl, combine ground meat, cooked rice, onion, tomato paste, olive oil, Grig’s seasoning, cumin, parsley, salt, and pepper.
Stuff each pepper generously with the filling mixture.
Place peppers upright in a baking dish. Pour water or broth into the bottom of the dish to keep them moist during cooking.
Cover loosely with foil and bake for 40–45 minutes, removing foil during the last 10 minutes to allow the tops to brown slightly.
Serve hot, optionally garnished with extra parsley.

Notes:

  • Feel free to stuff a variety of vegetables!
Tomatoes, onion, zucchini, squash, and even hollowed eggplant work beautifully with this filling.
  • Customize your filling: Substitute the ground beef with lamb, pork, or a half-and-half mixture of beef and pork for a richer, more traditional flavor experience.
  • For a vegetarian version, replace meat with cooked lentils or mushrooms.

Khoravats Style Pork Chops

Tender, juicy pork chops roasted with baby potatoes and seasoned generously with Grig’s Taste of Armenia. A simple, rustic dish inspired by the smoky backyard feasts of Armenian homes, where meat and potatoes share their flavors in perfect harmony.

Armenian foods : Khoravats Style Pork Chops

Ingredients:
4 bone-in pork chops
1 lb baby potatoes (new potatoes), halved
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons Grig’s Taste of Armenia seasoning
Fresh parsley, cilantro & onion slices for garnish

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Toss the baby potatoes with 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon Grig’s seasoning. Spread them on a baking tray.
Rub pork chops with the remaining olive oil and seasoning.
Place pork chops directly over or around the potatoes.
Roast for 25–30 minutes, turning once halfway through, until pork is cooked through and potatoes are golden and tender.
Rest the pork for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley, cilantro & fresh onion slices if desired.

Notes:

  • As the pork cooks, its juices flavor the potatoes naturally — just like in traditional Armenian Khoravats cooking!
  • For an even deeper flavor, pre-marinate the pork with Grig’s taste of Armenia and olive oil mixture and let it sit in the fridge for an hour before roasting.

Armenian Flatbread Pizza

A mouthwatering fusion of spiced ground meat, fresh vegetables, and bold seasoning, spread thin over crispy flatbread. Our Grig’s version makes this Armenian classic fast, easy, and unforgettable.

Armenian foods : Flatbread pizza - Lahmajoun

Ingredients:
4 pieces of store-bought naan or thin flatbread (or tortillas)
1/2 lb ground beef, lamb or pork
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
1 small tomato, finely chopped
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1–2 teaspoons Grig’s Taste of Armenia seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
Fresh parsley, lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a bowl, mix ground meat, onion, tomato, tomato paste, Grig’s seasoning, and olive oil.
Spread a thin layer of the meat mixture evenly across each flatbread.
Place flatbreads directly onto a baking sheet (no parchment needed).
Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until meat is cooked through and the edges are crispy.
Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and fresh lemon wedges for squeezing.

Notes:

  • Traditional Lahmacun is rolled up with lemon juice and sometimes fresh onions and tomato inside for an added bite.
  • For a fun twist, serve with a dollop of yogurt sauce or spicy red pepper paste.
